For E-Group, the key to the future lies in young talent. We are proud that our Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ferenc Pongrácz, has once again been invited to the evaluation committee of the 35th National Scientific and Innovation Olympiad (OTIO), which was announced on September 12th at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Dr. Ferenc Pongrácz has been helping young talents emerge as a member of the jury for years, and similar to last year, he has been invited to the evaluation committee again this year. His invitation is particularly warranted, as he also actively contributes to strengthening the domestic innovation ecosystem as a board member of the Hungarian Innovation Association. His contribution is also outstanding in that the competitors receive valuable feedback not only from a scientific point of view but also from a practical, business approach.
It is precisely this duality – a demand for scientific rigor and a sensitivity to practical applicability – that makes his role on the jury particularly valuable. The renewed invitation is a recognition that his work has created real value and has helped the long-term development of young people.
Why is OTIO especially important?
The National Scientific and Innovation Olympiad is one of the most important forums for the next generation of scientists in Hungary. Year after year, the competition encourages young people aged 14–20 to dare to dream big and enter the world of research and development with their projects.
The success of OTIO is also backed by its international connections: the competition is organically linked to the European Union Contest for Young Scientists, where Hungarian students have won numerous prestigious awards over the past three decades. Hungary currently holds 5th place on the EU’s overall medal table – a fact that speaks for itself.
The work of the jury here carries a particularly great responsibility. It is not just about evaluating the projects, but about ensuring that the young people receive inspiration, professional guidance, and genuine support.
E-Group’s vision for the future
At E-Group, we believe that innovation is not an end in itself, but becomes truly valuable when it brings tangible results for society and the economy. This perspective aligns with the goals of OTIO: talents not only discover but can also develop their ideas to later create globally competitive solutions.
Dr. Pongrácz’s professional experience – which is based on combining scientific thinking and business feasibility – is precisely what can build this bridge for the young competitors.
The 35th OTIO was ceremoniously launched at BME on September 12, 2025. We are certain that this year will also bring numerous outstanding talents and inspiring projects.
It is an honor for E-Group to be a direct part of this national cause through Dr. Ferenc Pongrácz. Because those who help the youth today will play a key role in building a knowledge-based, competitive Hungary tomorrow.
